ZADITEN ophtha sine 0.25 mg/ml eye drops for the treatment of allergic itchy, watery, and red eyes caused by hay fever (allergic conjunctivitis)

ZADITEN ophtha sine 0.25 mg/ml eye drops contain the anti-allergic active ingredient ketotifen. Mode of action

How does the active ingredient in the medicine work?

When the body comes into contact with allergy-triggering substances, e.g. pollen, the body's own messenger substance histamine is released, which leads to allergic reactions. The active ingredient prevents the allergic reaction by suppressing the effect of histamine. It also prevents the renewed release of histamine. In this way, the active ingredient combats unpleasant allergic symptoms such as itching, redness, or swelling.

In contrast to the AVP, the usual RRP is a recommendation from the manufacturer.
