SOVENTOL Hydrocort 0,5 % Spray has an anti-allergic, anti-pruritic, anti-inflammatory and decongestant effect due to the hydrocortisone it contains. Therefore, it can be applied locally in the case of inflammatory and itchy skin reactions such as insect bites, mild sunburn, sun allergy or Mallorca acne. Symptoms such as itching, redness, swelling and blisters can be relieved. Hairy areas such as the top of the head can also be treated well with it, as the solution contained is grease-free and does not stick together. Furthermore, the spray provides a pleasant cooling effect.

The application as a spray facilitates the application for rather touch sensitive areas such as sunburn. Another advantage is the facilitated application of hard-to-reach places such as the neck, head or back. Due to the grease-free and non-sticky solution.

How to use?

How does the active ingredient of the medicine work?

The active ingredient is a related substance to cortisone. Cortisone is a hormone that is also produced by the body itself.
In the event of injury, the body's own defenses run at full speed, a number of messenger substances and immune cells flow to the site of the injury and destroy invading pathogens and cell debris or blood clots caused by the injury. This work leads to inflammation in the affected area and the associated swelling, redness and ultimately pain. Wie wirkt der Inhaltsstoff des Arzneimittels?

Der Wirkstoff ist ein verwandter Stoff zum Kortison. Kortison ist ein Hormon, das vom Körper auch selbst hergestellt wird.
Bei Verletzungen läuft die körpereigene Abwehr auf Hochtouren, etliche Botenstoffe und Abwehrzellen strömen zum Ort des Geschehens und vernichten eingedrungene Erreger und durch die Verletzung entstandene Zelltrümmer oder Blutgerinnsel. Diese Arbeit führt in dem betroffenen Gebiet zu Entzündungen und damit verbunden zu Schwellungen, Rötungen und letztlich zu Schmerzen. Der Wirkstoff drosselt diese körpereigenen Abwehrmechanismen, besonders wenn sie - wie etwa bei Allergien - zu übertrieben ausfällt. Er wirkt vor allem auf der Haut entzündungshemmend und beseitigt Juckreiz, Rötungen, Schwellungen und Pusteln.
