TRAVEL TABLETS 1A Pharma with the active substance dimenhydrinate can be taken to prevent and treat motion sickness (kinetosis), dizziness, nausea or vomiting. Dimenhydrinate belongs to the class of H1 antihistamines.
Motion sickness (kinetosis) from car, bus, or boat travel is thought to result from conflicting sensory perception regarding the position and movement of the body. The organ of balance in the inner ear provides the brain with a different sensory perception than the visual information the brain receives from the eyes - speaks what the body sees does not match what it feels spatially. The body usually gets used to this mismatch after a few days, but the TRAVEL TABLETS can relieve symptoms such as malaise, dizziness, nausea, queasy stomach or vomiting during the first few days.
Children 6 to 14 years: 1/2 - 1 tablet 1 to 3 times daily, maximum 3 tablets per day.
Adults and adolescents over 14 years: 1 - 2 tablets 1 - 4 times a day, maximum 8 tablets a day.

The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.
How to use?
Take the medicine with liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water).
Duration of use?
The duration of use depends on the nature of the symptoms and/or the course of the disease. As a rule, however, the medicine should only be used for a short time. After two weeks of treatment at the latest, it should be checked whether the use of the medicinal product is still necessary.
Overdose?
In the event of an overdose, drowsiness, impaired consciousness, hallucinations and cardiovascular disorders may occur. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor immediately.
As a general rule: Pay particular attention to conscientious dosing, especially with infants, small children and older people. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautions.
A dosage prescribed by a doctor may differ from the information on the package leaflet. As the doctor will personalise it, you should therefore use the medicine according to his instructions.
Dosage
General dosage recommendation:

How does the active ingredient in the medicine work?
The active ingredient blocks receptors for a specific messenger substance called histamine. This blockade suppresses histamine-induced vasodilation and increased blood flow in the smallest hair vessels (capillaries). It also combats nausea via the same mechanism and has a calming effect.

What should you bear in mind?
- The ability to react may be impaired even when used as intended, especially at higher doses or in combination with alcohol. Pay particular attention when driving or operating machinery (including household machinery) that could cause injury.
- Avoid excessive UV radiation, e.g. in solariums or during extended sunbathing, as the skin reacts more sensitively during the use of the medicine.
- Sudden discontinuation may cause problems or discomfort. Treatment should therefore be stopped slowly, i.e. by gradually reducing the dose. It is best to seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.
- Caution: If you use the medicine for a long time, the body may become accustomed to it and you may need an increasingly higher dosage in order to feel an effect.
- Take care if you are intolerant to lactose. If you have to follow a diabetes diet, you should take the sugar content into account.
- There may be medicines with which interactions occur. You should therefore generally tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medicine you are already taking before starting treatment with a new medicine. This also applies to medicines that you buy yourself, use only occasionally or have been using for some time.
