4 MICROLAX Rectal Solution Enemas

MICROLAX enemas can be used in cases of constipation, diseases requiring defecation, or as an enema before diagnostic purposes. MICROLAX enemas contain a liquid with various salts and sorbitol, which, when introduced into the rectum, increases the volume of stool and thus enables evacuation. The effect sets in quickly and predictably in 5 to 20 minutes and, as a rule, complete and gentle evacuation occurs after only one bowel movement - without abdominal pain or abdominal cramps.

Due to their purely local effect and good tolerability, MICROLAX enemas can also be used on babies, children, pregnant women and nursing mothers.

MICROLAX enemas are suitable for:

defecation before diagnostic purposes

Application of MICROLAX enemas:

MICROLAX enemas are easy and hygienic to use rectally. The tube neck is narrower than a suppository.

Adults: use 1 mini enema completely and rectally as needed.

Children and adolescents: For infants and young children under 3 years of age, 1/2 mini enema may be inserted. It should be noted that the tube neck is inserted only halfway (see marking). For children over 1 year of age, 1 mini-enema may be applied if necessary.

Note: The enema should be removed pressed so that no liquid is drawn back into the tube.

How is it used?
Insert the enema into the intestine. If possible, empty the bowel beforehand. If using half an enema, squeeze out half of the contents first.

How do the ingredients of the drug work?

The active ingredients release water from the stool mass, which is usually very hard in cases of constipation. As a result, the mass softens considerably in a short time and a bowel movement is achieved in a few minutes.

Wie wirken die Inhaltsstoffe des Arzneimittels?

Die Wirkstoffe setzen aus der, bei einer Verstopfung meist sehr harten, Stuhlmasse Wasser frei. Dadurch wird die Masse innerhalb nur kurzer Zeit stark aufgeweicht und innerhalb weniger Minuten ein Stuhlgang erreicht.
