LORANOPRO solution can be taken for allergies or hives (urticaria). Allergies such as hay fever, house dust allergies or animal hair allergies can cause symptoms such as itchy, burning or watery eyes, itching of the palate, stuffy or runny noses and more frequent sneezing. These allergic symptoms are caused by an overreaction of the body with an increased release of the endogenous messenger histamine. LORANOPRO solution contains the H1 antihistamine desloratadine as the active ingredient. Desloratadine acts as an antagonist, so that histamine does not reach its active sites in the body as strongly. Thus, the allergic symptoms are relieved. The LORANOPRO solution acts relatively quickly already after 30 to 60 minutes and the wikrung should last the whole day (Desloratadin acts in contrast to Loratadin usually faster, because Loratadin must be converted first in the body in Desloaratdin). Desloratadine belongs to the 3rd generation of H1-antihistamines and usually does not cause fatigue.

How does the active ingredient of the medicine work?

The active ingredient helps with allergies and soothes itching. It suppresses the effect of the body's own substance histamine in two ways: Firstly, it inhibits the release of histamine from the mast cells (special defence cells) of the blood and tissue; secondly, it displaces histamine from its binding sites. As a tissue hormone and a type of messenger substance, histamine plays an important role in the development of inflammation and allergic reactions.

Wie wirkt der Inhaltsstoff des Arzneimittels?

Der Wirkstoff hilft bei Allergien und stillt den Juckreiz. Er unterdrückt die Wirkung der körpereigenen Substanz Histamin auf zweifache Weise: Erstens hemmt er die Ausschüttung von Histamin aus den Mastzellen (spezielle Abwehrzellen) des Blutes und Gewebes; zweitens verdrängt er Histamin von seinen Bindungsstellen. Histamin spielt als Gewebehormon und Art Botenstoff eine wichtige Rolle bei der Entstehung von Entzündungen und allergischen Reaktionen.
