7 LORANO acute tablets

Allergies such as hay fever or house dust allergies can cause symptoms such as itchy, burning or watery eyes, itching of the palate, stuffy or runny noses and frequent sneezing. These allergic symptoms are caused by an overreaction of the body with an increased release of the endogenous messenger histamine. LORANO akut tablets contain the H1 antihistamine loratadine as the active ingredient. Loratadine is converted in the body and then acts as an antagonist, so that histamine does not reach its active sites in the body as strongly. This relieves the allergic symptoms.

Hives (urticaria) cause redness, itching and wheals on the skin. Here, too, LORANO acute tablets with the active ingredient loratadine help to relieve the symptoms.

LORANO akut tablets can be taken at any time of day - regardless of a meal. Loratadine does not usually cause fatigue either. They are well tolerated and suitable for children as young as 2 years.

Children 2 to 12 years:

Body weight under 30 kg: 1/2 tablet 1 time daily.
Body weight over 30 kg: 1 tablet 1 time daily
Children 12 years and older and adults:

1 tablet 1 time daily

How to use?
Take the medicine with liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water).

Duration of use?
The duration of use depends on the nature of the symptoms and/or the course of the disease. You should only use the medicine for a few days without medical advice if the symptoms have not improved after this time.

Overdose?
An overdose can lead to drowsiness, increased heart rate and headaches, among other things. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor immediately.

Have you forgotten to take it?
Continue taking the medicine as normal (i.e. not double the amount) at the next prescribed time.

Mode of action

How does the active ingredient of the medicine work?

The active ingredient helps with allergies and relieves itching. It suppresses the effect of the body's own substance histamine in two ways: Firstly, it inhibits the release of histamine from the mast cells (special defense cells) of the blood and tissue; secondly, it displaces histamine from its binding sites. As a tissue hormone and messenger substance, histamine plays an important role in the development of inflammation and allergic reactions.

Mode of action

Wie wirkt der Inhaltsstoff des Arzneimittels?

Der Wirkstoff hilft bei Allergien und stillt den Juckreiz. Er unterdrückt die Wirkung der körpereigenen Substanz Histamin auf zweifache Weise: Erstens hemmt er die Ausschüttung von Histamin aus den Mastzellen (spezielle Abwehrzellen) des Blutes und Gewebes; zweitens verdrängt er Histamin von seinen Bindungsstellen. Histamin spielt als Gewebehormon und Art Botenstoff eine wichtige Rolle bei der Entstehung von Entzündungen und allergischen Reaktionen.
