How do the ingredients of the product work?

Dexpanthenol: The active ingredient heals injured skin and mucous membranes. It is structurally related to pantothenic acid, a vitamin that is involved in important metabolic processes in the body. Damaged skin or mucous membranes lack pantothenic acid. The medicine containing the active ingredient, which is converted into pantothenic acid in the body, compensates for the missing vitamin and the wound can close more quickly.

Chlorhexidine: The active ingredient kills various bacteria by destroying the cell wall of the microorganisms. In this way, it keeps the skin and mucous membrane germ-free, i.e. disinfects. However, the effect diminishes after prolonged use.

Wie wirken die Inhaltsstoffe des Arzneimittels?

Dexpanthenol: Der Wirkstoff heilt verletzte Haut und Schleimhaut. Er ist strukturell verwandt mit Pantothensäure, einem Vitamin, das an wichtigen Stoffwechselvorgängen im Körper beteiligt ist. Geschädigter Haut oder Schleimhaut mangelt es an Pantothensäure. Das Arzneimittel mit dem Wirkstoff, der im Körper in Pantothensäure umgewandelt wird, gleicht das fehlende Vitamin aus und die Wunde kann sich rascher wieder schließen.

Chlorhexidin: Der Wirkstoff tötet verschiedene Bakterien ab, indem er die Zellwand der Mikroorganismen zerstört. Auf diese Weise hält er Haut und Schleimhaut keimfrei, desinfiziert also. Allerdings lässt die Wirkung hier nach andauerndem Gebrauch nach.
