20 ASPIRIN 500 mg coated tablets
Aspirin with the active ingredient acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) has an analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effect. The tablets can be taken for the symptomatic treatment of fever or for the relief of mild and moderately severe pain such as headache, toothache, joint pain, muscle pain and pain from a flu-like infection.
Due to the innovative MikroAktiv technology or galenics of the tablet, the tablet dissolves quickly and acts quickly and effectively. Another plus is the special film coating that makes the tablet easier to swallow.
Suitable for teenagers from the age of 12 years (40 kg) and adults. Adults can take 1-2 tablets up to 3 times a day, for a maximum of 3 days.
When taking it, care should be taken that a side effect of ASA is 'blood thinning', as it inhibits platelet aggregation and it should therefore not be combined with other blood thinners without a doctor's advice. In addition, people with asthma should also not take aspirin without consulting their doctor.

As a general rule: Pay particular attention to conscientious dosing, especially with infants, small children and older people. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautions.

How does the active ingredient of the medicine work?
The active ingredient has an analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effect at the same time. It blocks the formation of certain messenger substances in the body, known as prostaglandins. These are significantly involved in the development of pain, fever and inflammation.
Blood clotting is also influenced by acetylsalicylic acid. The substance prevents the blood platelets (thrombocytes) from clumping together and thus improves the blood's ability to flow.
Based on 1 tablet
500 mg acetylsalicylic acid
+ sodium carbonate
71.7 mg sodium ion
+ silicon dioxide, highly dispersed
+ hypromellose
+ Zinc (stearate, palmitate, oleate)
+ carnauba wax

What should you bear in mind?
- In case of pain or fever, do not use for longer than specified in the package leaflet without medical advice!
- Prolonged use of painkillers can lead to headaches caused by the painkiller. Talk to your doctor to prevent your headache from becoming chronic.
- The habitual use of painkillers can lead to permanent kidney damage. If several painkillers are combined, or if one painkiller contains several active ingredients, the risk of this increases.
- In children and adolescents with febrile illnesses, the medicine may only be given on medical advice. Reye's syndrome, a rare but life-threatening condition in which prolonged vomiting occurs, may occur.
- Caution: Patients with nasal polyps, chronic respiratory tract infections, asthma or a tendency to allergic reactions such as hay fever: the medicine may trigger an asthma attack or a severe allergic skin reaction. Therefore, consult your doctor before use.
- Before an operation - including minor procedures such as tooth extraction - stop taking/using the medicine, as the bleeding time may be prolonged.
- Take care if you are allergic to zinc!
- There may be medicines with which interactions occur. You should therefore generally inform your doctor or pharmacist of any other medicine you are already taking before starting treatment with a new medicine. This also applies to medicines that you buy yourself, use only occasionally or have been using for some time.
- Alcohol consumption should be avoided as far as possible during long-term treatment. Occasional alcohol consumption in small quantities is permitted, but not together with the medication.
