How to use?
Take the medicine with liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water).
Duration of use?
You should not use the medicine for longer than 4-5 days without medical advice.
Overdose?
An overdose can lead to restlessness, vomiting, diarrhea and a drop in blood pressure. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor immediately.
Have you forgotten to take it?
Continue taking the medicine as normal (i.e. not double the amount) at the next prescribed time.
As a general rule: Pay particular attention to conscientious dosing, especially with infants, small children and older people. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautions.
A dosage prescribed by a doctor may differ from the information on the package leaflet. As the doctor will adjust it individually, you should therefore use the medicine according to his instructions.
Dosage
Children from 6-12 years: General dosage recommendation:
Children aged 6-12 years 1/4 tablet 2-3 times daily after a meal
Adolescents from 12 years of age and adults: Start of treatment (first 2-3 days of therapy):
Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults 1/2 tablet 3 times a day after a meal
Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults: follow-up treatment:
Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults 1/2 tablet 2 times a day after a meal
Adults: Follow-up treatment - for severe forms:
Adults 1 tablet 2 times a day after a meal
If you also drink a lot throughout the day, the expectorant effect of the medicine will be improved.
Patients with liver or kidney dysfunction: In consultation with your doctor, you may need to reduce the single or total dose or increase the interval between doses.

How does the active ingredient in the medicine work?
The active ingredient loosens stuck mucus in the airways. The thick mucus becomes thinner and its adhesion to the mucous membranes of the bronchial tubes is reduced. This reduces mucus build-up and makes it easier to cough up.
Applied locally, the active ingredient can numb mucous membranes on the surface and thus relieve a sore throat for a short time, for example.

60 mg ambroxol hydrochloride
54.72 mg ambroxol
+ lactose-1-water
+ magnesium stearate
+ maize starch
+ silicon dioxide, highly dispersed

What speaks against an application?
Always:
- Hypersensitivity to the ingredients
Under certain circumstances - talk to your doctor or pharmacist:
- Reduced function of the cilia in the airways, such as:
- Malignant cilia syndrome
- Impaired kidney function
- Impaired liver function
Which age group should be considered?
- Children under 6 years of age: As a rule, the medicinal product should not be used in this group. There are preparations that are more suitable in terms of the strength of the active substance and/or dosage form.
What about pregnancy and breastfeeding?
- Pregnancy: Consult your doctor. Various considerations play a role in whether and how the medicine can be used during pregnancy.
- Breastfeeding: Consult your doctor or pharmacist. They will check your particular situation and advise you accordingly as to whether and how you can continue breastfeeding.
If you have been prescribed the medicine despite a contraindication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. The therapeutic benefit may be greater than the risk associated with the use of a contraindication.

What adverse effects can occur?
- Gastrointestinal complaints, such as

What should you be aware of?
- Caution in case of allergy to ambroxol!
- Take care if you are intolerant to lactose. If you have to follow a diabetic diet, you should take the sugar content into account.
- There may be medicines with which interactions occur. You should therefore always tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medicine you are already taking before starting treatment with a new medicine. This also applies to medicines that you buy yourself, use only occasionally or have been using for some time.
