Voltaren Dolo tablets contain the active ingredient diclofenac. Diclofenac has both analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. Thus, the tablets help well and relatively quickly with neck, lower back or back pain. They are small, easy to swallow and an alternative to the pain gel when traveling or on the go.
Application: Take 1 tablet as needed up to a maximum of 3 per day. There should be an interval of 4 to 6 hours between doses. Do not take for more than 4 days.

Overdose?
An overdose can lead to headaches, dizziness, drowsiness and even unconsciousness, nausea, vomiting and functional disorders of the liver and kidneys. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor immediately.
Have you forgotten to take it?
Continue taking the medicine as normal (i.e. not double the amount) at the next prescribed time.

First dose - single dose:
Adolescents aged 14 years and over and adults 1 tablet 1 tablet before a meal
Follow-up dose:
Adolescents aged 14 years and over and adults 1 tablet 1-3 times a day at intervals of 4-6 hours, before a meal
Maximum dose: A dose of 3 tablets per day should not be exceeded.
Taking on an empty stomach promotes the onset of action.

How does the active ingredient of the medicine work?
The active substance has an analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effect. The drug also has anti-rheumatic properties. It blocks the formation of certain messenger substances in the body, known as prostaglandins. These are significantly involved in the development of pain, fever and inflammation.

What speaks against use?
- Hypersensitivity to the ingredients
- Blood formation disorders
- Blood clotting disorders
- Ulcers in the digestive tract, also in the past

- Severely impaired kidney function
- Heart failure
- Possible risk of vasoconstriction of the heart, such as in:
- Coronary heart disease (circulatory disorders of the heart muscle)
- Circulatory disorders of the periphery (e.g. arms, legs)
- Circulatory disorders of the cerebral vessels
Which age group should be considered?
- Children under 14 years of age: The medicine should not generally be used in this age group.
- Elderly patients aged 65 and over: Treatment should be well coordinated with your doctor and carefully monitored, e.g. through close checks. The desired effects and undesirable side effects of the medicinal product may occur to a greater or lesser extent in this group.
What about pregnancy and breastfeeding?
- Pregnancy: Consult your doctor. Various considerations play a role in whether and how the medicine can be used during pregnancy.
- Breastfeeding: Based on current knowledge, use is not recommended. Breastfeeding may need to be considered.
If you have been prescribed the medicine despite a contraindication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. The therapeutic benefit may be greater than the risk associated with use in the case of a contraindication.

What should you bear in mind?
- The ability to react may be impaired even when used as intended, especially in higher doses or in combination with alcohol. Pay particular attention if you are driving or operating machinery (including household machinery) that could injure you.
- In case of pain or fever, do not use for longer than specified in the package leaflet without medical advice!
- Prolonged use of painkillers can lead to headaches caused by the painkiller. Talk to your doctor to prevent your headache from becoming chronic.
- The habitual use of painkillers can lead to permanent kidney damage. If several painkillers are combined, or if one painkiller contains several active ingredients, the risk of this increases.
- Caution: Patients with nasal polyps, chronic respiratory tract infections, asthma or a tendency to allergic reactions such as hay fever: The medicine may trigger an asthma attack or a severe allergic skin reaction. Therefore, consult your doctor before use.
- Take care if you are allergic to painkillers!
- Take care if you are intolerant to sucrose. If you have to follow a diabetes diet, you should take the sugar content into account.
- There may be medicines with which interactions occur. You should therefore generally inform your doctor or pharmacist of any other medicine you are already taking before starting treatment with a new medicine. This also applies to medicines that you buy yourself, use only occasionally or have been using for some time.
- Alcohol consumption should be avoided as far as possible during long-term treatment. Occasional alcohol consumption in small quantities is permitted, but not together with the medication.
